A junk is a type of boat commonly used in China, typically featuring two to four sails. Standard-sized junks are often employed for transporting food between cities, while larger ones embark on global voyages. The construction of the first Chinese junks dates back to the Song dynasty (960-1270), with the inaugural Chinese imperial treasure fleets emerging under a Mongol emperor between 1271-1368. These junks ventured to destinations like Sumatra, Ceylon, and southern India. The renowned explorer Marco Polo visited the Mongol court and documented witnessing four-masted junks with sixty cabins for merchants and crew members numbering up to 300.

This exquisite Chinese Junk replica is expertly handcrafted from premium wood, employing the "plank on frame" technique used in authentic shipbuilding. The master artisans meticulously assembled strips of mahogany and teak to form a smooth surface. Remarkable features of this model include a wooden front, main, and mizzen masts, fabric sails with wooden frames, a metal anchor, brass cannons, a wooden lifeboat, and intricately designed decking complete with wooden stairs and skylights.
