The SS United States, was a ship built in 1952 for the United States Lines. It's a really big ocean liner at 53,329 gross tons, and it's the largest one ever built completely in the United States. It still has the record for the fastest trip across the Atlantic going west. You can display this ship in your house or at your work. Skilled workers make these very detailed wooden models from scratch using old photos, drawings and original plans.

They are built to the same size as the real ship with fancy wood like: red cedar from the west, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built one by one using a building method called plank-on-frame, which is like how real ships are made. Each model takes lots of hours to finish and has to pass a tough quality check before it can leave the workshop. There are many details on this model. The very detailed chimney is painted in red, white, and black and is rigged across to the masts. Each life boat is carefully hand made and painted in black and white. You can also see various other details on the deck such as metal ladders, metal winches, metal vents, wooden crane, railings and so on. The model is tightly fixed on a sturdy wooden base with a brass nameplate. It's a perfect gift for someone who likes to decorate their home or office, loves boats, or collects things.

The United States was the leader in transatlantic passenger service until 1969, and it lasted longer than the company that first owned it. The ship is currently in Philadelphia until they decide what to do with it.
