Steampunk Nostradamus Prophet Octopus Wall Clock

An octopus in a tiny top hat has draped itself over the top of a giant pocket watch, holding an open book in one tentacle and a goblet in another. It is reading, apparently, and the joke is that this one is Nostradamus, the prophet who claimed to see what was coming.

The clock face is the other half of the piece. Roman numerals run around a bronze bezel set with rivets, and the middle is cut away so you look straight through to a nest of gears painted in red, gold and gunmetal. The hands are pierced brass in the old watchmaker style.

It hangs on a wall from the keyhole fitting on the back and runs on a single battery, so there is nothing to wind and nothing to set beyond the time.
