In 1768, Lieutenant James Cook, from the Royal Navy, took the HMS Endeavour on a trip for exploration and science. Cook is known as one of the best explorers. In 1770, Cook arrived in New Zealand where he went all the way around, and fully mapped the north and south islands before heading west. This is a special edition of the HMS

Endeavor, where the model is uniquely marked by a laser cut number on the hull. To capture the beauty of the real ship in the model, we used the most special wood that we could find, the best quality brass fittings that we could cast, and more than 200 hours to assemble this wonderful model. We used woods like rosewood, red cedar from the west, and mahogany.

These materials are turned into works of art by the skilled hand of the master workers. If you look closer, you can see a smooth surface of wood on the hull. It was made more beautifully then most fine furniture. Looking through the open hull, you can see furniture, painted soldiers, drums, stair cases, doors which are all done in great detail. The skill of wood work is quite amazing on the hull & decks. Other awesome details include metal sculptures, brass canons and anchors, wooden life boats and a sky light. The model comes with its original British Royal Navy flag and sits on a sturdy wooden base with a metal name plate attached. 100% Fully Assembled, ready to show off.
