Hanging Hourglass On A Wooden Stand

Most hourglasses sit in a frame. This one hangs from a brass arm on a pivot, so it swings gently when you touch it and you flip it by rotating the glass rather than lifting the whole thing.

The base is solid wood with a shaped profile, the arm and fittings are brass, and the glass is clear with fine white sand. Watching it run is most of the point, so it belongs somewhere you sit rather than somewhere you pass.

Featured details

Blown glass timer suspended from a pivoting brass arm
Solid wood base with a shaped profile
Rotates in the frame to reset
Fine white sand, clearly visible against the brass
No assembly required

Dimensions

Approximately 10 inches high.
