Ostara, Germanic Goddess Of Spring

Ostara is where the word Easter comes from, and where the rabbits came from too. She is the goddess of the spring equinox, of first light and things starting over, and she is shown here mid turn with her cloak lifting behind her.

A hare sits at her feet and songbirds rest on her outstretched hand, both sculpted separately rather than moulded into the robe. The palette is deliberately soft, greens and dusk blues over bronze, which suits her better than a hard metallic finish would.
