Steampunk Dragon Claw Crystal Ball

A scaled dragon's claw erupts out of a riveted brass base and closes its talons around a clear glass sphere. The grip is the whole point: the claw is sculpted tight enough that the ball sits locked rather than balanced.

The two parts come apart. Lift the sphere out and the base works on its own as a sculpture, or swap in a different sphere if you have one. Three pounds of it, so it stays exactly where you put it.
